Again, just another quick entry to let you know he is there. He got to Wendover early Tuesday morning. He said the effects of COVID-19 were apparent. They are only using one wing of the hotel on weekdays at the Rainbow resort. They have a device at the door that takes your temperature without you even knowing it. Fewer restaurants, masks everywhere. You know the drill.

He will be in line on the access road to the Salt Flats this morning. He may be headed there now knowing Mike. Dave and Louie will meet him there to help get set up.

You will have to use your imagination here. This is an old photo of the access road. However, it is not what Mike will experience this morning. We are generally in this line with the sun coming up. It is a pretty sight. As well, I would imagine there will be a lot of activity with this being the first day racers and crews are allowed on the salt.

Sigh. I will do a better job once I get there on photos and detail. For Mike today is all about getting everything set up on the salt. For me it is all about getting everything done back here so the 9 of us can fly out in the morning to be on the salt by 1pm or so tomorrow. Mike will want to go through tech tomorrow afternoon if he has not already been able to check that off his list before we get there. I will definitely be posting more frequently over the next few days as the story unfolds for the year.
