We have been very silent so far this year. You may have wondered if we are going to the Salt Flats at all. Well, the answer is a resounding YES! We had proceeded since the beginning of the year toward at least “pretending” we would head out. Registration fee was paid, hotel reservations were made, airline tickets purchased and the usual gang gotten together. Due to COVID-19 we knew it all might come crashing down but the news from SCTA has been that they are going on with the event and implementing the usual safety measures.

Mike will be leaving in a few days. He will be driving out by himself this year so he will allow a few extra days to get there. We are hoping for dry weather, good salt and successful runs. I will report back as the events transpire. Mike has been practicing ejecting from the car in this photo. He has some new harnesses and we needed to make sure everything is adjusted just right.
